but they do not cover cracks caused by expansion and/or contraction, damage caused by accident or abuse,
Note: Severe paint blistering and separation of caulk from wood cupping due to intense and/or direct heat are not issues of workmanship and are not covered under the warranty.
If a defect in workmanship appears within 5 years from the date of project completion and is reported to Makus Painters. Makus Painting will inspect the affected areas and perform the necessary repairs without cost

Peeling, blistering or chipping where they are caused by:
abrasion, mechanical damage, abrasive cleaning, abuse, or damage resulting from use of chemicals or cleaning agents or exposure to harmful solids, liquids or gases.
damage or defects caused in whole or in part by reason of fire, explosion, flood, extreme weather conditions, misuse, alterations, abuse, vandalism, negligence, or any other similar causes.

IN NO EVENT WILL MAKUS PAINTERS BE RESPONSIBLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES CAUSED BY ACCIDENT OR ABUSE, CRACKS CAUSED BY EXPANSION AND/OR CONTRACTION.
